Out for a drive in her brand-new 2009 Ford Escape, Cheryl Vogel wasn’t expecting a minivan to suddenly smash into her passenger-side door in a collision so intense it left her sitting dazed and confused in the driver seat. She wasn’t expecting, either, the reassuring voice that emanated nearly immediately from the SYNC system in her vehicle: “A 911 call is being placed.”

Wow, my name in lights? If you have SYNC, update your system so you have the 911 assist. It really does work!! Every time I get into my Ford Escape I make sure my phone is paired with the truck. Although I don?t want to have to use it again I know it is there just in case. Thanks Ford!!
